Meet Atticus · How it works

What's behind every done list.

Atticus is a HIPAA covered care management provider. It runs physician-written programs day and night. It hears what changed, takes the next step and writes down why.

How we think

Healthcare thinks in nouns. Atticus thinks in verbs.

The system runs on claims, gaps and portals. Families live in refills, rides and worry. Atticus works where they live.

What Atticus does

Refilled Booked Driven Told Applied for Followed home Done

No more to-do lists. Only done lists.

The Atticus loop

Four steps, for every member, every hour of the day.

01

Listen

Every admission, discharge, lab, fill and device reading, as it lands.

02

Understand

One live record per member, current to the minute, with what matters most on top.

03

Act

Refills, visits, rides, outreach and escalation, done before anyone has to ask.

04

Prove

Each action sealed to an evidence ledger the second it happens. Any audit, answered.

The record

Every record found for you. No passwords, no portals.

Atticus is a provider on TEFCA through Kno2. It pulls a member's full history on day one, keeps it current and sends what it learns to every doctor who needs it.

Why it holds up

A real care provider. Accredited and accountable.

Each layer below was earned. Together they let Atticus do the work, not hand you a to-do list.

01

Provider status

A Type 2 provider with its own NPI and a treatment relationship with every member. Consumer AI apps and software vendors cannot hold one.

02

National data access

Approved on TEFCA through Kno2, with the Zus Aggregated Profile and Surescripts. The full record arrives in minutes, not weeks later with the claims.

03

Two URAC accreditations

Case Management and AI in Healthcare, each earned through an outside review of how Atticus delivers care.

04

Physician-written programs

More than 50 programs, written by physicians who treat each condition. Atticus works only inside them.

05

Signed partners

GoodRx, Zocdoc, Uber Health, Instacart and more. A request ends in a finished task, never a link.

06

Family access

A care circle the member controls, plus direct outreach to a personal representative. Few care management companies offer that.

07

A price nobody else can reach

$10 a member a month for every program. States pay a $164 median for staffed care management.

Nothing to install. Nothing in the way.

No seats to license and no integration project. Atticus works by text, voice and app from day one. Any plan, provider, employer or family can run it, under their brand or ours.

The work

Every job in care, owned and measured.

Atticus covers 16 kinds of work. Each runs inside a physician-written program, in the member's language, at a sixth-grade reading level.

1

911 and 988 come first

An emergency or a crisis reaches the right people first, before anything else runs.

2

Never diagnoses or prescribes

Clinicians make clinical decisions. Atticus never changes a dose or denies care.

3

A second model checks every draft

Nothing reaches a member unchecked. Every claim carries its source.

4

PHI stays under a BAA

Models run on AWS under a business associate agreement and never train on member data.

5

A clinician can take over anytime

Any conversation or task can be handed to a person, by message or video over Zoom.

6

Always says it is AI

Members always know they are talking to AI. Every action is on the ledger.

The programs

More than 50 programs, each written by physicians who treat the condition.

The right programs switch on for each member automatically. Members with no condition still get prevention. New programs arrive as updates, with nothing to install.

The work

Four jobs decide who stays well at home.

A pill bottle on a table in morning light

The refill

Every prescription filled. Every gap closed.

Atticus watches the fill, not just the prescription. It keeps going until the gap closes.

Atticus chases every late refill to a pharmacy with the medicine in stock. It checks prices, GoodRx included, before anyone pays. Every night it tracks 34 HEDIS measures for every member.

28%of new prescriptions are never filled.Fischer et al., 2010
An older man riding home in the back of a car

The ride

Every visit kept. Every hospital stay followed home.

Atticus hears about an admission as it happens and tells every doctor on the care team.

Visits are booked on Zocdoc or by phone and land on the family calendar. Rides come from Uber Health. Every discharge gets its day-7 and day-30 follow-ups booked before anyone asks.

49%of ER follow-up visits were kept when an automated call helped schedule them, against 23% with written instructions alone.Bauer et al., 2021
A woman reading her phone in bed at night

The worry

Help on every day between visits.

One assistant for every condition, built on the member's own record, by text, voice or app.

Meals are logged by photo, and Instacart carts match the care plan. Mental health check-ins come every 30 days, with a full PHQ-9 the same day a screen is positive. Device readings are watched, so the doctor hears the moment a limit is crossed.

$768+is what one condition program costs a year. Atticus includes every program at $10 a month.PHTI, 2024
Two friends walking together in a park

The community

The help a member qualifies for, applied for and delivered.

Referral networks hand a member a list. Atticus fills out the application.

Every check-in asks about food, housing, rides, utilities and safety. Atticus files Lifeline applications with the member's approval. A neighbor, friend or faith leader can join the care circle free.

$2.47came back for every $1 when community health workers did this work by hand.Kangovi et al., 2020

The family

The call goes to the daughter before the readmission, not after.

Every family has a chief health officer. She is often juggling kids, a partner and an aging parent at once. Atticus gives her a team, not another list.

Most readmissions show at home before they show in any data. Atticus puts a circle of family and friends around every member. The member controls who sees what.

Caregiver

Sees everything, helps with everything, and gets prompted by Atticus with her care.

Supporter

Sees how she is and her agenda, never her health record.

Emergency only

Hears only of an ER visit or a hospital stay, the moment it happens.

Atticus can also reach a member's personal representative directly. Few care management companies can.

Trust

Accountable for every outcome.

A provider, not a vendor

Atticus is a Type 2 provider with its own NPI and a treatment relationship with every member. Plans delegate to it the way they delegate to any provider group.

Protected by design

PHI lives in one encrypted store, and every access is logged. Member data never trains a model. Each plan is walled off from every other.

Evidence that can't be rewritten

Every action is sealed the day it happens, and the seals are checked daily. An auditor's question takes minutes to answer, not weeks.

Built on AWS Health. SOC 2 audit underway, with HITRUST to follow.

The network

Signed partners turn a text into a finished task.

Many sites now lock AI assistants out. Atticus works through signed partnerships, so the work gets done.

Built to fit your systems

One clinical record reaches your systems three ways, in both directions.

Your care managers stay in the tools they know. When a member needs a person, Atticus sends the task with its sources. When your team closes it, Atticus takes the next step.

01

Clinical review feed

Alerts, tasks and escalations reach your care management or UM platform in near real time, by API, HL7, FHIR or webhooks. Ready for CMS-0057.

02

Prospective risk

CMS-HCC V28 suspects found in the clinical record before the claim. Each links to its source document for coder review. Nothing is auto-coded.

03

Ready for your AI

An MCP server sits on the same record, so your own AI tools can read it and ask Atticus to act, always inside your permissions.

Every source is kept, never overwritten. When a discharge list and a pharmacy fill disagree, the member's doctor or pharmacist settles it. Atticus never guesses.

Safe by design

A person makes every clinical call. Your data stays yours.

The data

At the core

Never used to train a model. Each organization's members and reports are walled off from every other. You own the data, with a free full export anytime. Every action lands in an append-only audit log.

The AI

Around it

Atticus works only inside physician-written care plans. It takes orders only from the plan and the care team, never from a web page or an email. Fixed 911 and 988 replies go out before any model writes.

The partners

At the edge

Every partner signs a business associate agreement before any data moves. Searches that leave Atticus carry no name, member ID or birth date. Members consent channel by channel and choose what each family member sees.

Start with your members

See it work on your own members.

Plans, providers and employers get a free analysis of their population before signing anything. Families start with one text.
